Finding your voice

Did you jump out of bed today happy and full of joy to start your day?. In other words are you honestly happy and fulfilled at work or at home. some of us do things out of habit, maybe just for a paycheck, it could be expected for us by others, sometimes we think there is no way out and our backs are up against the wall. Maybe it has to do with our culture.
I know for me growing up in the Caribbean I did what was expected of me I did what my parents did. I followed in the paths of my family business. My Mon and Dad were both Bakers. I worked in our family bakery and after high school to choose a career I went to Culinary School and became a Chef, and later a Culinary Instructor and found my passion was really teaching.
how do we find our own inner voice or inner self. The Things that makes us sing, brings us joy and satisfaction something we will do even there was no paycheck.
We must never forget that no matter where we are in life God has a plan for our lives. In the bible book of Jeremiah 29;11 God said For I know the thoughts( plans)that I think towards you says the Lord Thoughts (plans) of Peace, and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope.
God wants to give you a voice a voice of you own, A voice that will take you to your destiny.
Do you have the courage to listen to him and step out by faith and find your inner voice. Please pray the following prayer today and every day.

Prayer: Father God this morning I see the new life you want to give me. I see new doors that you are opening for me I accept new opportunities that you are sending my way . I surrender today and I am leaving all the old things behind me, And I thank you for moving me into my God given purpose in Jesus name Amen

Steps to Letting Go

When God calls us to leave the things we a familiar with, ( or comfort zones) we most ofter find ourselves in some of the most difficult times of our lives, It seems that all of hell brakes loose. sometimes we even find ourselves questioning weather we heard from God or not.

As we see in Ruth and Naomi situations. We sometimes have people talking about our choices, when we take a stand to follow Gods leading. Ruth also had to go and glean wheat in the field after the reapers of Israel to keep food on the table ( She had to do something beneath her or humble herself to receive Gods promise and purpose for her life)

however it is during those times of hardships and us humbling ourselves that God does his greatest work. It was during Ruth time in the fields, that the owner of the fields "Boaz" noticed her.

No matter where you are in life sometimes you have to become like Ruth and step out of your comfort zone, you also have to humbly yourself this might open the door to hidden gifts that you might never knew you had before. Enter our finding your life purpose contest.

Starting Over " Now You are Ready to Make some Changes

In The book of Ruth, Naomi was moving back to her country Israel, after living for a period of time in Moab. She had lost her Husband and both her sons, and was now left with nothing and no one to take care of her. As a widow with no living children life had to be tough for Naomi since women in her day and in her culture depended on their husband or children to fend for them

With no one left to take care of her Naomi was starting over and journeying back to her country. She had left Israel for a while , she was not sure what she was going to meet when she got there. Was here house still there, did she have any remaining family( brother's, sister's, nieces or nephews) Remember when she left Israel there was a famine in the land. How was she going to survive and to make matters worst Ruth her daughter-in-law wanted to come along with her. Who was going to take care of them both. These are some of the fears I am sure Naomi was facing.

Most of us face these same fears when we start over. However to fulfill our God given purpose in this life we might just have to start over like Naomi.

In the " Power of the praying women" StormieO'Martian writes that no matter how far off the path you have gotten from the plans and purposes God has for your life. When you surrender your life to the Lord and declare your utter dependence upon him. God will carve a path from where you are to where you are supposed to be. And he sets you on it it may take you longer than it would have taken you had you stayed on the right path in the beginning. But if you keep walking closely with God he will you where you are supposed to be.

God wants you to have a clear vision for your life( no hit and miss) He wants to reveal to you what your gifts and talents are. And he wants to show you how to best develop them and use them for his glory. And my friends that's the bottom line, to glorify God in all that we do

Following God and his Purpose for your life and mine takes Determination

In my new book " Leave and Cleave" Life principles for women based on the Old Testament book of Ruth. We see the determination of Ruth to follow Naomi back to her country Israel and to her people. We also see that no matter how hard Naomi tried to convince her daughters -in -laws Ruth and Oprah to stay in the land of Moab and their people. Ruth persisted and cleaved to ( hold fast) Naomi and followed her back to Israel. who got the price? Ruth did we never again heard any ting else about Oprah who stayed with her people. however Ruth on the other hand was given a whole book in the Bible ( The word of the God of the Universe) That's awesome!!. She was also one of the mothers in the lineage of our kinsman's redeemer " Jesus Christ."

The only way we as women or men can fulfill our God given purpose and destiny in this life is through Determination. We must Leave and Cleave, We must leave those things which hold us back, old habits, lifestyles, fear, lack of faith and cleave to the things of God, Love, faith, goodness, peace, Humility, joy, self control.

God has a lot more in store for each and every one of us. He has a greater purpose for our life's

We have to by faith trust him and become more determined to press on towards the price

We are all placed here in this universe by God, and we all have a purpose and destiny to fullfill. But a lot of us feel stuck, Most of us go through life with the feelings that we will never make it. We sometimes hide behind the feelings of shame or guilt, We sometimes allow fear to control our descions, We worry about embrassing ourselves. Even if we have passion or desire for something, we do not take steps to reach it .We have hidden talents we really use . Most of us do not know our life purpose( What are we placed on this earth for) why are we here?We sometimes wait for the perfect circumstances before we step foward. Is there something thats holding you back. Do you have dreams a deep desire to do something, be something, go somewhere,start a new venture, write a book, but feel stuck, Lets use this blog topic to share our feelings, fears,struggles,desires. Who knows you might learn something about your self that you never knew. My daily devotional reading for today was Hebrews 12 1-2 Let us lay aside every weight and sin which doth so easily beset us( Hold us back) And let us run with patience the race thats set before us, Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith( The substance of things hoped for, The evidence of things not seen.
